Hey guys,

I lost my wonderful cat almost two months ago now. I feel so lonely without her and I'm suddenly needing to have another cat to keep me company and to be my friend. Not that I want to replace Ashes but just to start something new, I know she wont mind.
Anyhow, I've been looking through many pictures the past few days and I ran across the Bengal Cat and I've absolutely FALLEN head over heals in LOVE with the looks of this cat and from their general personality!
I want one so badly! I'm heartbroken though that they cost so incredibly much. I'm a college student who really has very little money. I was going to go to the humane society and find myself a sweet cat but I feel suddenly attached to wanting a Bengal cat

Does anyone have a female kitten they'd be willing to sell me for $200? :) Ok I know that sounds horrid of me to ask.. but I'm desperate! I want one!
I love how you can take them out with you on walks, and they're really okay with moving around and traveling. They're not so attached to their one home. I love that about a cat. My cat was great with that, hell she even went on a trip with us to NYC (without us noticing her coming along until the 2nd day, she had snuck in our camper). Anyhow sorry I could go on for weeks about my wonderful cat.

But, does anyone have any advice for me if I'm looking for just a sweet, nice, fun Bengal cat without paying $500+ and I know $500 is cheap. I really want one!

Oh and please share your pictures of your Bengal cats. They're so beautiful.

Thanks

~Rain

Have you thought about a bengal rescue? The adoption fees usually run $200, and you would be giving a beautiful cat a home =)

I'd love to rescue a Bengal. Do you know if there's a special place I would have to look for bengal cats or would I just look at my local humane societies? If there's somewhere more specific I could look, that would be great.

I know this is going to sound weird but have you tried looking in your local spca for a bengal? Thats where we found our purebred bengal Leo- with all his papers too! But email some bengal breeders near you and see if they have any older cats they need adopted out, ex-breeding males and females. Thats what we're doing to get another Abbyisibian and i am horrible with spelling today.

I hadn't considered the SPCA, thanks for the suggestion. I'd be mroe than willing to adopt an older Bengal, though of course 3 years or younger would be great so I'd have many years to spend with them. My Ashes was about 2-3 when we got her (she was always tiny so it was hard to tell her age) but I still got to have her in my life for 10 years. I'll be emailing so breeders and asking some questions and see if any would give me a deal. Thanks again for the suggestions
